The original strip was yet another experience in Japanese wordplay, so it was time to take liberties. What better chance for a childish (yet totally believable) joke?

The Sega Neptune was a never-released console that combined the Mega Drive/Genesis with the 32X. Other Sega consoles had planetary codenames, with “Saturn” being the only one that became an official product name. It’s not surprising that “Uranus” seems to have gone unused.
